Zrno eko imanje odnosno gosp. David Pejić izabrani kao jedni od 3 finalista za prve EU Organic Awards u kategoriji "Best Organic Farmer - Male".

Navedeni izbor u uži krug će biti objavljen 20.7. kroz press release Europske komisije i IFOAM-a, kroz društvene kanale potonjeg te na BIOFACH sajmu u srpnju. Sam pobjednik će biti proglašen tek početkom rujna, a ceremonija dodjele će biti u Bruxellesu 23.9. na EU Organic Day.

"Mr David Pejic, from Zrno eko imanje (Zrno organic farm), based in Dubrava (Zagreb County), Croatia, is a finalist candidate for the EU organic award of best male organic farmer.

With more than 12 years of experience, he runs the oldest organic farm in Croatia. On 22 hectares, he grows with 39 employees, over 60 different crops, operating the region’s largest no-dig/no-till biointensive garden while focusing on energy self-sufficiency and water retention. He also runs an on-site bakery and an own organic restaurant, under a comprehensive farm to table concept.

The farm is heavily engaged in education, training, and advisory initiatives, notably for small and young farmers."
